Job Title: Administrator

Reports to: DYW Programme Manager

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £20,000 PA

Location: Inverness

Start Date: July/August

Job Description

The role is primarily focused on the operational delivery of the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) programme in the Inverness and Central Highland area. The key aim of the role is to assist the DYW team and provide an efficient administration service to support the continued building of the programme profile - establishing the DYW initiative and delivering the needs of job creation in the Highlands. You will be responsible for assisting the Operations team in developing and delivering the objectives of the regional and national DYW groups. The role requires some travel locally and regionally, and may require a commitment outside of normal working hours.

The successful candidate will have proven administration experience, including data protection in a business environment. Experience of public sector partnership and third-party working is an advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for and liaise with employers, stakeholders and key partners as required
  • Assist the Developing the Young Workforce coordinators in identifying and contacting employers
  • Secretarial support to the regional board
  • Provision of general office services
  • Filing and maintenance of records
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of effective administrative procedures and system appropriate to the needs of the programme
  • Develop the relevant work streams for the programme in conjunction with the Developing the Young Workforce Operations team
  • Supporting communications including social media channels
  • Supporting events preparation and delivery
  • Work with the wider Chamber team within Inverness Chamber of Commerce

Key Requirements:
